Meet Ally!

I earned my Bachelor's in Social Work from Ohio State University and my Master's from Case Western Reserve, specializing in alcohol and drug addiction. Since then I've worked across nonprofit and community agencies, hospital and public health settings, and inpatient treatment — with everyone from healthcare workers to people navigating addiction and everything in between. I'm EMDR trained, and bring a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and holistic lens to everything I do. I also have experience working with the LGBTQ+ community and providing gender affirming support.

How I approach therapy

Therapy with me is down-to-earth, curious, and intentional. I don't follow a rigid one-size-fits-all model — instead I pull from a range of approaches including EMDR, CBT, DBT, and ACT, always guided by what feels most useful for you. Some sessions we'll focus on building skills, some on gaining perspective, and some you'll just leave feeling a little less alone in it. The pace is always yours. And you don't need to show up with a clearly defined goal — we can figure that out together.

The human in the therapist chair

I'm a millennial mom of four, married, and most at home in a thrift store with a quality cup of coffee. I’m a maker with too many unfinished projects, and wish I made more time to be outdoors. I'm a disability mom with a deep passion for the caregiver on the brink of burnout, or the bewildered parent just starting out on the diagnosis journey. Enneagram 5w4, INFJ, Aries — I feel deeply and think constantly. I show up as a real person because I think that's exactly what good therapy requires.
