A soft landing for the Caregiver where hard days are welcome.
Meet the Group Facilitators
Ally Wilson, LISW-S
Ally is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S), therapist, and mom of four. Her journey into caregiver support began when her oldest son—now 8—was born with Down syndrome and was later diagnosed with Autism and ADHD.
From the moment of his at-birth diagnosis, she was fortunate to be welcomed into a strong community of parents and caregivers. Through monthly support groups, she found connection, practical resources, and people who truly understood the unique path of disability parenting. That community became an essential part of her family’s journey.
As the years went on, their lives filled with therapy appointments, medical visits, school meetings, and the countless mental tasks that come with advocating for a child with additional needs. Like many caregivers, she realized that while so many people asked how her son was doing, very few asked how she was doing—or how to support the person supporting him.
The Caregiver Collective was created from that experience. Her hope is to provide caregivers with time, space, and community to reconnect with themselves, regulate their nervous systems, and explore ways to care for their own emotional well-being while navigating the realities of caregiving.
In addition to facilitating the Caregiver Collective, she operates a private therapy practice where she works with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, addiction, relationship stress, burnout, and life transitions.
